History
For more than twenty years, the University of Florida Graduate Distance Learning Program in Classics has offered advanced study in Latin and Classics for students seeking to deepen their knowledge of the ancient world. Through live online seminars and the Summer Latin Institute, students engage with the languages, literature, and history of ancient Greece and Rome while remaining active in their careers.
Designed for Educators
Many of our students are primary and secondary-school instructors who wish to pursue further education in Classics while continuing their work in the classroom. Courses are taught synchronously in a collaborative seminar format and are scheduled to accommodate the needs of working professionals. Students benefit from close working relationships with faculty and peers, while becoming part of a vibrant community of classicists.
